I’m very pleased to have been quoted in The Chronicle of Higher Education today. The article was about another sad company that leeches off the desperation of the insecure classes by selling what it purports to be “complete” applications of students who have been accepted to their college of choice. You can read the article here.
I’ve also been busy commenting on some entries in Jacques Steinberg’s blog, The Choice, in the New York Times. Not that you need to read my comments, but there have been several good entries there this week, including one from the dean of admission at Middlebury College about how test scores rarely tip the scales one way or another. I’m hoping that’s a trial balloon for further discussion about making scores optional among the prominent liberal arts colleges. We’ll see!
